Assembled over six decades of practice, our collection comprises more than 3,500 books of law and jurisprudence. At its heart lie the great authorities of the Arab civil law tradition: Abd al-Razzaq al-Sanhuri, Sulayman Murqus and their Egyptian contemporaries, the Syrian jurists Mustafa al-Zarqa and Wahbah al-Zuhayli, and the Majalla of Ahmed Cevdet Pasha, from which Jordanian civil law draws. Beside them stand the French masters from whom much of the region’s civil law descends, among them Planiol, Ripert, Josserand and Carbonnier, and, older still, the Latin texts of Roman law, from the Institutes of Gaius to Justinian’s Corpus Juris Civilis. The works of Montesquieu and Grotius complete a collection that spans legal philosophy and the law of nations.

Gathered from different parts of the world and added to with each generation, it remains a working library. It is consulted daily by our lawyers, and it is where we receive our clients.
